The Cardiology Department at Oradell Animal Hospital is committed to offering the most progressive and comprehensive care for your pet utilizing the most sophisticated equipment and the latest interventional procedures. Our board-certified cardiologist is experienced in treating a wide range of cases, varying from puppies and kittens that require surgery for congenital disorders, to senior pets that need safe and effective medical management for chronic illnesses. Treatment plans are driven by the patient’s prognosis and quality of life is our utmost concern.
Evaluation of your pet’s history and a physical examination by our cardiologist is the first step. If there is evidence of heart disease, such as a heart murmur or arrhythmia, an echocardiogram (ultrasound) is often indicated. An echo is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that very rarely requires sedation. Depending upon the type and severity of heart disease, we are fully equipped to perform whatever therapy or procedure is needed to improve the length and quality of your pet's life.
