Tell us about your career from when you graduated college up to this point: 

I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science in 2016, and with my DVM in 2020. I spent 12 months in a small animal rotating internship in Boston, MA after that. I then completed a 3 year ABVP Reptile & Amphibian residency in San Diego, CA.  
 

Why did you choose this profession? 
 

It was the best option for combining my love of “critters” and puzzles! 
 

What are your personal hobbies and interests? 
 

I love to read, cook, and take care of my indoor plants. On my days off, my husband and I can be found outside looking for reptiles and amphibians in the wild, or inside playing a board game.

What are some of your favorite things about veterinary care? 
 

The variety of cases from day to day. Going from seeing a 20 gram lizard to a 300 pound tortoise is such a whirlwind!
