At a very early age, I knew I wanted a career helping animals and people. There was not a single defining moment, but after watching several family pets age and become ill, I realized that those moments solidified my desire to help people and their pets. Throughout my education, I quickly realized how much I enjoyed science, and this, coupled with my passion for animals, led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Veterinary medicine can be challenging, but it has been an amazing calling. It is an immense privilege to be able to help people and their pets, and I wouldn't trade that for anything. My areas of interest in veterinary medicine include preventative medicine and emergency medicine. My favorite part of my job is working with my team to provide exceptional veterinary care. I work with an amazing support staff who have an overwhelming abundance of compassion and love for animals, which I witness daily.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like hiking with our dogs (2 German Shepherds and a terrier mix), traveling, riding ATVs, watching our children play their favorite sports, and reading together. When I'm not spending time with my family, I volunteer at my church and the Newark Community Healthy Pet Clinic.
