One additional tip is to check your pet carefully for fleas and ticks as the cold weather approaches--this time is a period of increased activity for fleas and ticks eager to hitch a ride on a warm blooded animal. We have seen lots of flea cases in the last several weeks--even pets that have never had fleas before!
